Coming in the 9th position, France, probably the most touristic country in our ranking. With a whooping 89.4 Million visitors in 2019 it ranks in the first position for most visited country in the world AND the most lucrative country. Why is it in 9th position then ? 
Firstly  the French TSDI can be explained by a rather high CO2 emission per inhabitant per year value (5.3 tons in 2017). Nonetheless, despite showing average ecological and HDI values compared to its European neighbours, France takes the 9th place thanks to its tourism capacities.
